South African Tobacco Export Services was established in 2000 by Hannes Nel, a well known expert in the Global Tobacco Industry with more than 30 years experience of tobacco growing, processing, manufacturing and marketing.
The company’s manufacturing plant is situated in Oudtshoorn, a small town in the lovely Klein Karoo, district of the Western Province of the Republic of South Africa.
Products
SATES specialize in the production and sales of the traditional Black Fat Snuff leaf tobacco for the African West Coast countries.
Manufactured products for the local South African market are:
- Fermented snuff leaf tobacco.
- Chewing tobacco
- Ground Black Snuff (original and medicated)
- Ground light menthol snuff
- The company also deal with unmanufactured South African dark- and light air-cured tobacco, Indian air-cured and dark fire-cured tobacco leafs for the production of ”role your own” (cut rag) and snuff.
